Dance
The Choconut Elementary School PTO sponsored dance program was established in 1985.
The arts of ballet, tap ,and jazz are offered to students PreK-high school.
In addition the arts of lyrical and hip-hop are offered to students in grades 4-12.
The program is open to all students who reside in, attend, or have graduated from the parameters of the Choconut Valley Elementary School.
Yearly classes are formed based upon the majority of student interest for the current dance season.
Weekly lessons are given each Friday (after school hours) when school is in session.
Registration for dance is held in August. Late registrants are accepted until October 1st of each year.
The fees associated with participating in the dance program are as follows:
- a weekly class tuition cost
- a costume fee
- a PTO registration fee.
The program concludes with an annual dance recital held in the Spring, at the high school.
